About the event
"H PLACE" is an award-winning play with music, written, produced, and directed by Norma Jo Thomas.
The story addresses age-old issues of history, heritage, and legacy, what to do with them as time
passes and needs change, and whose responsibility it is. When his adult daughter, DINA HARMONY,
convinces the aging, ailing, self-made ISAAC HARMONY, to step down as day-to-day manager of H Place,
a small, but successful business center and pillar of the historically Black community it serves, the staunch
businessman and head cook at H Place Diner, known for his Big Ike Special, never expects that his dream
of a peaceful transition of power to his adult offspring would go so wrong.
